Illuminations Newsletter December 2015

Thank you for a great conference in Michigan!

"It was exciting to learn from all the great things my peers are doing and also gain in depth knowledge from Illuminate experts.  For example, I learned how we can use the On Track feature in DnA to set up early warning systems using research based thresholds to flag at-risk students."

Director of Data and Analytics

Important News: Service Alert 12/18-12/20

During the weekend of Friday, December 18th (starting at 6:00 PM Pacific) through Sunday, December 20th we will be moving into a new data center. During the move, the Illuminate Education System (ISI, DnA, ISE), Online Testing, and Home Connection (Student/Parent Portal) will not be available. We know there is never a "good" time for things like this, so we planned this over the weekend when most schools are off for the holidays. Hopefully you are planning a relaxing holiday break with your family and friends!

District Illuminate leads (e.g. IT/Data/System Admins) have been notified via a separate email. (If you are a District Lead and did not receive the notification, please contact your Illuminate Implementation Manager.)

We are excited to pilot WalkMe,™ an interactive guidance and engagement platform to simplify the user experience. With WalkMe,™ Illuminate users will be able to easily access our Interactive Guides (step by step instructions for tasks). This guidance is provided by walk-throughs made up of a series of tip-balloons overlaid on the screen. Several walk-throughs are now available and can be accessed by logging into Illuminate, navigating to the control panel and clicking on "Interactive Guides.”

With the new Interactive Guides, users will no longer need to interrupt their workflow to get help by reading a document or watching a video, instead they can easily launch a walk-through to be guided through tasks in real time. It will be just like having an Illuminate team member at your side 24/7! Spread the word and try it today.
